IRVING AUGUST GRANT FUND

Establishment of Irving August Grant Fund
In honor of Irving August’s successful efforts to improve international relations and foster brotherhood and understanding between our community and the citizens of Lomonosov, Russia, in October of 2005 the Framingham Education Foundation established

The Irving August Grant Fund
for promoting international understanding and goodwill.

This grant will be awarded to employees of the Framingham Public Schools to support projects that teach, expose, and encourage students, of all ages, in all aspects of international relations, especially those that reach out beyond our town’s borders.

Guidelines
  1. The Irving August Grant will follow the same timetable as the Mini-grants Program.
  2. All Mini-grant Program criteria and procedures will apply.
  3. Applicants will use the Mini-grant Application, and may or may not ask that their program be considered for the August Grant.
  4. The August Grant may be awarded to applicants who did not specify that they would like to be considered for it.
  5. The Irving August Grant will be awarded when there is a suitable applicant; therefore, it will not necessarily be awarded during every mini-grant cycle.
  6. Donors are welcome to contribute to the Irving August Grant Fund.
  7. The Irving August Grant Fund will be closed when its balance is zero and there are no remaining monies to award.
